This young family moved into their new build a few years ago but with the hustle and bustle of a busy family hadn't yet made the changes they so desperately wanted. 

The goal was to create a warm, cosy atmosphere, with comfy sofas to enjoy movie nights together. The catch? It had to be child friendly. Boasting stunning views over the beautiful Irish countryside, this room has immense volume. Triple height ceilings give a lovely sense of space but can be difficult to make cosy. Using this gorgeous, rich blue which has green and red undertones gave depth to the space, making it instantly feel warmer. We teamed it with a gorgeous warm stone colour on the ceilings and two of the walls to create a cocoon effect. An Irish paint brand, Acres Hall paints are both scrubbable and non toxic. Choosing super comfy easyclean blue sofas, a rug that is both washable and compatible with underfloor heating, new light fittings & a new coffee table made this room feel exactly how they wanted.
